Every so often, a venue arrives that offers much more than you were expecting. The Corner from The Boathouse Group is set to become a favourite for Palm Beach locals and visitors alike…
The Boathouse Group’s latest stunning venue – The Corner – sits just off the main street at Palm Beach, blending into its lush setting and offering something new and truly delightful for the area. It’s been lauded as the sort of place you’d see in a Nancy Meyers movie, and that’s an apt description. It’s very pretty.
Part delicatessen, part providore, part wine bar, and part dining room, The Corner sits comfortably between everyday ritual and special-occasion destination. It’s the kind of space you’ll want to enjoy for breakfast or lunch and then spend some time selecting cheeses, bread, or something special for later.

With ten plus venues now for The Boathouse Group, fans will know each is carefully considered for its location. This new addition to Palm Beach offers something exciting for locals, and something special for the many visitors to the area.
Says Head Chef and General Manager of The Corner, Sam Kane: “I want The Corner to be a place that locals return to weekly for daily provisions, best–in–class salads, baked–on–site focaccia, fantastic wines and weekend dining that keeps them interested. For visitors, The Corner will be a place holiday goers can’t wait to get back to.”
From Farm to Table in One Thoughtful Space
With Kane at the helm diners know they’re in good hands. He’s worked at top spots Bistro Moncur, Bibo Wine Bar, Guillaume Brahimi and our own local favourite Berts. His expertise is reflected in The Corner’s menu.
Breakfast includes the boiled egg with Bruny Island cheese and sourdough, or smoked rainbow trout with crème fraîche and roe, or for those who enjoy something sweet to start their day the Riso Al Latte (Italian rice in milk) with roasted peach and granola. Beverage temptations include fresh juice made with ingredients from on site, Shaken Hazlenut Espresso and Iced Coconut Matcha.
The lunch menu is enticing and ranges from chickpea, pumpkin and leek soup to lamb shoulder, tuna, tiger prawns, crudo and some really beautiful vegetable dishes. The focus is on “great produce, simply prepared.”
While breakfast and lunch are both a la carte, dinner is offered as a set tasting menu at $85 per person, which rotates weekly.
It’s no secret that The Boathouse Group know how to create venues that are more of a destination than a stop along the way, and The Corner is no exception. It’s a a lovely addition to their other Northern Beaches venues, which include Barrenjoey House, Manly Pavilion, The Espy Manly, Las Palmas Manly, The Boathouse Shelly Beach, The Mona Social and The Palms.
Now we eagerly await their next amibitious project – the huge Farmhouse at Terry Hills (click here for more)!
