Akasha Integrative Health in Manly offers naturopathy, acupuncture, HBOT, sauna and private recovery – whole-person care for the Northern Beaches.

In the heart of Manly, steps from the beach and the hum of everyday life, Akasha Integrative Health has become something the Northern Beaches has needed for a long time – a place where genuine, whole-person care is not just a philosophy but a daily practice.

Owned by Paul and Marianne Edwards, who took the helm in August 2025, Akasha has evolved into a destination where naturopaths, acupuncturists, osteopaths, psychologists, massage therapists and recovery specialists work alongside one another under one roof.

A Team Effort

The vision is as simple as it is rare: healthcare that works better when practitioners collaborate.

“One of our greatest achievements has been bringing together a team of practitioners who genuinely believe in collaboration, integration and putting the client at the centre of everything they do,” Paul said.

Marianne, a qualified clinical naturopath, leads the clinical side of the practice with both warmth and precision. Paul brings a background in leadership and business transformation to the work behind the scenes.

Together, they have shaped Akasha into something that feels less like a clinic and more like a community – one built around a shared commitment to helping people not just manage their health but genuinely thrive.

The Akasha Difference

Alongside Akasha’s wide range of highly skilled therapists, the clinic’s recovery facilities have become a drawcard in their own right – hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infrared sauna, and cold water immersion and contrast therapy are all available in fully private, dedicated spaces.

That privacy is deliberate, and it matters.

“Unlike large wellness centres, our recovery spaces are completely private,” Paul says. “Clients can enjoy infrared sauna, ice bath and HBOT sessions in their own dedicated space, creating an environment that feels calm, supportive and welcoming.”

It is a detail that surprises many first-time visitors, and one that sets Akasha apart from the communal recovery venues becoming common across Sydney.

“I came to Akasha feeling completely burnt out. Marianne took the time to really listen and created a recovery plan that actually made sense for me. I started to feel like myself again within two weeks. I can’t recommend Marianne and the team highly enough,” says Olive.

One of the clinic’s most distinctive programs is The Rose Collective. This six-week guided recovery journey is designed for women navigating stress, fatigue and nervous system overload. It is the kind of structured, supported experience that the wellness industry often gestures toward but rarely delivers. Further recovery and wellbeing programs for men and mixed groups are to launch in late 2026.

Their Philosophy

Marianne’s clinical philosophy is grounded in something she is willing to say plainly. “At Akasha, we believe wellbeing is not built through a single treatment or quick fix. It is built through consistent habits, supportive environments and integrated care that considers the whole person. Perhaps the most important difference is that feeling well allows us to fully engage with the people, experiences and opportunities that matter most. Because there is a difference between feeling okay and feeling well,” she says.

The people who walk through the door feel the difference right away. “I felt seen, listened to and taken seriously and after three treatments I feel like I’m on the right path,” writes client Annemarie of her experience with practitioner Charles.

Looking ahead, Paul and Marianne have a particular focus on expanding support for neurodiverse children and their families. This an area close to Marianne’s heart. It follows her many years working in education and her longstanding interest in autism and neurodevelopment.

“Marianne is particularly passionate about supporting neurodiverse children and their families, recognising that effective care often involves supporting the wellbeing of parents and carers as much as the child themselves,” Paul says.

The name Akasha means “space” or “essence”, and is a fitting reflection of the space the team has built. More than a clinic, it is a place where people feel supported enough to slow down, reassess and invest in themselves in a way that lasts.

For those on the Northern Beaches ready to experience the difference between feeling okay and feeling well, Akasha is waiting.
