The favourite annual festival for foodies, Taste of Manly, is bigger and even more delicious this year. Now called ‘Taste of the Beaches’ it’s on this month with culinary delights, beach pop ups, wine gardens and more!

Calling all wine lovers and foodies. The all new Taste of the Beaches is here. Northern Beaches Council has taken the ever-popular Taste of Manly event and transformed it into a month-long celebration of the best wining and dining experiences on the Beaches.

From Manly to Palm Beach and everywhere in between, the Northern Beaches is the place to eat and drink throughout May, and then eat and  drink some more!

There are more than 30 events at venues across the Beaches including the Manly Beer & Wine Garden and the Palm Beach Wine Garden. There will also be a series of other special events which feature unique food and wine experiences, that will be held in restaurants, cafes and businesses across the entire LGA.

Mayor Michael Regan said Taste of the Beaches has something for everyone. “You never know what fantastic restaurant or café or local brewery you may discover, just around the corner from you. By organising events across the whole region, we are helping support local businesses, particularly hospitality, who have been hard hit over the past year.”

Where You Can Taste the Beaches:

The Manly Beer & Wine Garden, Manly Corso. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in May. 

Guests can relax and enjoy the surrounds whilst enjoying the wares of local businesses Modus Operandi Brewing Co, 7th Day Brewery, Seadrift Distillery, Manly Spirits Co and Bucketty’s Brewing Co. Food will include a traditional South African delicacy, Biltong by African Vibe at Brookvale, fresh meat skewers and tasty cheese platters.

The Manly Beer & Wine Garden will be open every weekend in May from Friday to Sunday, 11:30-21:00. This pop-up event will be a unique experience, with mini-golf on the Corso a highlight for kids, live relaxed acoustic and jazz music, as well as DJs playing relaxing tunes in the evening.

Enjoy live tunes from local musicians, while ordering dinner from some of your favourite local restaurants, and supporting local Northern Beaches businesses at Manly’s favourite pop up.

Market Lane is home to Fika Swedish Kitchen, Market Lane Café, Donny’s Bar, Momo Bar, Bare Naked Bowls, Oakberry Acai and Jipang with plenty more delicious Manly eateries nearby. While dining, you can also enjoy local brews from NOMAD, 4Pines, Manly Hops and Dad & Dave’s.

Market Lane Live is family friendly and encourages guests to bring along their 4-legged furry friends as well.

Food Truck Party May 15

Beautiful Winnererremy Bay will be the location for this foodie extravaganza. Enjoy a selection of enticing international and specialty food from all the most popular food trucks: including satay, burgers, loaded fries, gozleme, twisted potatoes, mozzarella sticks, waffles, pizza, arancini, Thai, Greek street food, ice cream, crepes and much more. Sit back and relax with friends and family on your picnic rug while listening to live music. Entry is free, so mark it in your calendar and be sure to invite your friends.

Craft Beer Festival, Harbord Diggers 29th May

Harbord Diggers are putting on a massive event featuring live music, DJ’s, over 15 Australian craft brewers & some great dining options from the Diggers kitchen.

Brewers include: Stone & Wood, Young Henry’s, 4 Pines, Modus Operandi, Philter Brewing, Akasha, Nomad, HALO & many more. Tickets are $20 and include 6x tokens that can be redeemed for 150mL craft beer samples across a variety of the craft beer breweries.

Palm Beach Wine Garden 29-30 May

The Palm Beach Wine Garden will be open on the weekend 29-30 at Governor Philip Park. The event will consist of four sessions across the weekend with a maximum of 1000 people. The sessions will run Saturday and Sunday, 11am – 2pm and 3pm – 6pm. There will also be live music, which will be different for each session.

Cost: $15pp + booking fee. (non-alcohol $10pp + booking fee). Includes a commemorative event wine glass as well as two (2) drink tokens. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS

Daniel San, Manly: We’ll be doing a mini-makeover to our dojo and turning Daniel San in to a Tokyo style street food market with seriously delicious cocktails.

Park House, Mona Vale: Park House will offer smoked meats, craft beer & specialty, smokey cocktails at our Smoke & Barrels event for Taste of the Beaches.

The Hold, Manly: The Hold bar & restaurant are extending their plant based menu this May with 2 additional vegan specials.

Novatel, Manly: Our Moët & Chandon Rose Tuk Tuk will be on our beachfront doorstep every weekend in May serving both non-vintage and Rose by the glass.

Chica Bonita, Manly: We are having a Cinco de Mayo celebration! Look for the golden ticket in your burrito wrapper to win one of 5 free burritos a day!

Coya, Cromer: Chef Ashraf Saleh will demonstrate his drive and enthusiasm for combining herbs and spices from the East with the best ingredients from the West.

The Cumberland, Manly: Treat yourself to l’artisan raclette from Victoria Grilled, melted and scraped onto prosciutto, leg ham, new potatoes and served with pickles, crusty bread and porcini crisps.
