Local queue-out-the-door cookie favourite Butterboy is on a roll with two new locations for their mouth-watering treats.
Sydneysiders are about to get a taste for cult cookie company Butterboy, with the opening of a second location at Chatswood Chase this week. The expansion marks an exciting chapter for the Manly-born brand, which is also set to open a Brookvale store in the coming months.
Started by James Sideris (also the brains behind Norma’s Deli) while he was still at university, Butterboy has captured our local area’s sweet tooth with its creative flavours and cheeky branding. Since its inception, Butterboy has sold more than a million cookies. It’s also stocked in a range of cafes and its at-home range is in independent supermarkets and delis all over Australia.
While we eagerly await more on the Brookvale venue, we know the Chatswood store will bring all the same Butterboy vibes as the Manly flagship – expect their signature branding, cool terrazzo flooring, and windows where you can watch the bakers doing their thing.
All the beloved Butterboy classics will be available: their famous chunky Nutella choc-chip cookies that regularly sell out, the crowd-favourite salted caramel, classic white chocolate and macadamia, and their celebrated snickerdoodles. Their legendary brownie sandwiches, including the Golden Gaytime and Mint Slice versions, will also make the journey across the Spit Bridge.
As a special tribute to their new North Shore home, Butterboy has created an exclusive Chatswood treat: the Matcha & Strawberry brownie sandwich. This creation features their signature brownie sandwich filled with matcha-infused white chocolate cream cheese and a strawberry jam centre, finished with a strawberry chocolate half-dip.
Of course, as locals know, the full Butterboy experience includes their popular soft-serve ice cream, with classic vanilla and they’ll have a special limited-edition Chatswood-exclusive flavour coming soon as well. Their famous flavoured milks – including vanilla malt, blackberry, and banana caramel – will also be available, along with dairy-free and vegan alternatives.
From their Manly beginnings to Chatswood Chase, and soon to Brookvale, it’s clear James Sideris is one smart cookie. And our tastebuds are thankful!
