It’s time to venture back outside and have some fun!! The warmer months always bring some exciting events in the local area that make the most of our great part of the world – from live music overlooking the water, to sculptures along the sand and fun fairs in our great parks. Pop these events in the diary…
Market Lane Live
Has there ever been a better time to support local businesses and live events than right now? With New Orleans vibes, this pop-up wine and beer garden is back and buzzing with good tunes and good food, every night under the stars. Enjoy tapas bites from Insitu, Nepalese dumplings from Momo Bar, burgers from the Hold, waffles from Little Shop of Waffles, and more. In the beer garden you can relax with your favourite cocktail or local brew and enjoy live music (Friday-Sunday) or even play a giant game of Jenga.

Q Station Sculptures Exhibition
Les Sculptures Refusees returns in 2021 and as it’s one of the few outdoor sculpture exhibitions opening in NSW this year, we on the Beaches are thrilled. The exhibition began as a way of supporting artists who didn’t make the cut for Sculpture by the Sea, giving them the spotlight they deserve around Manly’s historic Q Station. Meander the coastline to view 24 large-scale contemporary artworks by award-winning and emerging artists. Entry and parking is free.
When: October 20th – January 27th, 2022

Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Fun Fair
Celebrate and give back to the unsung heroes who keep us safe on the Northern Beaches. The annual funfair will see rides and games, a Ninja obstacle course, petting zoo, an array of carnival snacks, live music and stalls full of local goodies for your last-minute Christmas shopping. All funds raised go directly to supporting the 21 surf clubs on the Northern Beaches.

Fireworks for New Years Eve
Hands up if you’re ready to bid farewell to 2021! The annual New Years Eve fireworks are being planned in the traditional venues of Manly, Bayview and Dee Why at 9pm, and for the first time, a new 9pm event has been added for Lionel Watts Reserve in Belrose, meaning locals can spread out and socially-distance as the skies light up. Considering our fireworks were cancelled last year due to COVID, we expect this year’s will go off with a bang. Naturally, all events will be subject to the NSW Health Orders in place during December, so watch this space.
When: December 31, 2021
Location: Manly and Dee Why at 9pm, Bayview (time TBC), Lionel Watts Reserve in Belrose at 9pm
We’ll keep adding to the list, let us know if you have an event coming up and we’d love to feature it (you can email us here.)
