The Northern Beaches Readers Festival is delighted to announce it has secured nearly 30 authors to appear at its inaugural festival in Avalon, with internationally acclaimed crime writer, Michael Robotham, and beloved Australian storyteller and actress, Judy Nunn, to headline the event.

The Northern Beaches Readers Festival will be held from 18-19 September at the Avalon Recreation Centre and will include panels, ‘in-conversation’ events, Q and A opportunities and author signings with some of Australia’s favourite writers.

“‘Michael Robotham is the only Australian author to win the UK’s prestigious Gold Dagger Award twice, while Judy Nunn is basically a household name thanks to her lifelong devotion to telling Australian stories – both as an actress and now as an author,” said Festival Director, Sandie Docker.

‘Not only have we secured two icons of the Australian literary scene, we’ve also managed to put together a line up that represents all the genres that readers love – from crime, to romance, historical fiction and mystery.’

The full program will be released in early August when tickets go on sale.
