‘Tis the season: German International School Sydney’s annual Christmas Market is back again for 2025, promising a magical weekend of local artisans, traditional crafts and festive celebrations.

Coming up on August 22nd and 23rd, Terrey Hills’ German International School (GISS) will reprise its yearly transformation into a magical Christmas wonderland, attracting locals and dedicated visitors alike. Classrooms and playgrounds will be lovingly converted into festive wintery scenes and decorated with traditional German ornaments by staff and students, and the grounds will be transformed into a classic Christmas market.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy browsing this ever-popular Christmas market, complete with open-air stalls selling fresh German food and drink, as well as traditional ornaments and decorations, and a range of gorgeous European art and crafts.

This year’s attendees can also look forward to events including magical lantern walks, cozy marshmallow roasting, rides and games, and live performances and activities by the school community.

Plus, this year’s stall line-up also includes a traditional Glühwein Hut for the adults – perfect for warming yourself up from the inside out!
