Have you experienced the old world charm at this 1950s-inspired Italian espresso bar? Set in Coco Republic’s flagship Balgowlah showroom, L’Americano is well-worth seeking out for coffee, pastries, an Italian Riviera-inspired menu and cocktails.

Feel like a trip to the Italian coast without leaving the area? Coco Republic’s flagship Balgowlah showroom opened an Italian inspired espresso bar and bistro, L’Americano late last year – and it’s causing waves across the Beaches!

“A real coup for light industrial Manly Vale – you’d swear you were in Italy”, wrote one Northern Beaches Living member.

“It’s a real surprise gem in a warehouse setting,” wrote another.

Oh my god, they have chocolate salami, I can’t believe it!!! Thanks for sharing!” was another comment.

We’re not sure what chocolate salami is – but it sounds amazing. And definitely worth a taste test!

Coco Republic was inspired to open the cafe so that customers could enjoy a modern Italian inspired culinary experience when visiting for their interior’s inspiration.

“The new L’Americano café in Balgowlah, with its scale and designs, is one of the best cafes we have launched in Australia,” says CEO of Coco Republic, Anthony Spon-Smith.

The exquisite menu celebrates the artisan food heritage of the Italian Riveria, featuring beautiful locally sourced produce and quality coffee by Vittoria Coffee.

“Standout dishes such as the Linguine with Mooloolaba Swordfish or the Scallopini di Pollo paired with a glass of Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay or a classic Negroni from the cocktail list makes for a sensational lunch date,” Anthony recommends.

This café is a coming home for the premium lifestyle brand, as Coco Republic opened its first store in the area 42 years ago. And if you visit this June/July, L’Americano will be celebrating its annual Carnival of Ivrea or Festival of Oranges.

“In this month, we celebrate the love of oranges just like the Italian festival, held in the northern Italian city of Ivrea each year,” Anthony explains. “One can enjoy a special menu featuring orange flavoured items and delicious themed cocktails, not to forget the colourful orange festival theme throughout all L’Americano venues nationally.”

It’s bound to be a feast for both the senses and palettes so be sure to book a visit.
