Letters to Santa, Harbord Diggers

“Santa has a special treat for you this year! Write a letter to Santa and head into member services to post it in our special postbox and receive a response from Santa! Responses will be via post, so be sure to include all contact details in your letter.

Date: Letters can be mailed from the 1st of December and must be in by 5pm Friday 16th December.

Festive Freshie

Freshwater Community Christmas Carols

This is an event for the whole community with Christmas stories and carols, and a sausage sizzle. Hosted by the Churches of Freshwater; St Peter’s Uniting Church, St Mark’s Anglican Church, and St John The Baptist Church.

Christmas by the Beach, Dee Why

Superstars from Paw Patrol will headline this event for the whole family, so bring a picnic or enjoy some foo from one of Dee Why’s many restaurants and vendors on site. There will also be traditional Christmas carols brought to you by Northern Beaches Chorus and Northern Beaches Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and a visit from Santa!

The Muppet Christmas Carol, State Theatre

The Muppet Christmas Carol sees The Muppets perform the classic Charles Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Gonzo, as Dickens, narrates the story with the help of Rizzo the Rat. The film also features Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Gonzo as the narrator Charles Dickens, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim.

Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases — past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

Pittwater Christmas Carols At Avalon

For a true Aussie Christmas event, head to Carols at the Beach to enjoy the choir, food trucks and stalls, face painting, kids characters and a visit from Santa. And there will be fireworks over Avalon Beach when it gets dark!

Carols in the Domain

Known as Australia’s Biggest Christmas Party, 2022 will be the 40th anniversary of the Carols in the Domain near the famous Sydney harbour and Royal Botanic Gardens.  Festivities start at 1pm, before the show begins at 8pm.
