Northern Beaches Council will move to the next stage of delivering a new sports amenities building at Jamieson Park, Narrabeen Lagoon, following approval of plans to rebuild the much-loved Reserve amenities.
With the previous sports amenities building destroyed by fire in late 2021, a new approved facility has been designed to better support local clubs, reserve users and the wider community, says Northern Beaches Council.

The new approved design includes more storage for sailing, model boat and dragon boat groups, plus a public café, accessible showers and toilets, watercraft facilities and a meeting room available to both the community and clubs.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the approval marks an important milestone in restoring and improving facilities at Jamieson Park Reserve.
“This is great news for the Narrabeen community and the many local clubs and groups who use Jamieson Park Reserve. The new facility will provide modern, accessible and inclusive amenities, while also creating a welcoming space for people to enjoy one of our most popular lagoon-side reserves.
“Importantly, the design has been shaped by community feedback and will deliver improved facilities for current and future users,” Mayor Heins said.

The project incorporates a range of accessibility and sustainability features including accessible toilets, compliant ramps, solar panels, rainwater reuse systems and passive design features to help reduce energy use.
The building has been carefully designed to complement its lakeside setting while minimising impacts on the surrounding environment.
Council will now progress the project to the construction stage and keep the community updated as timelines are confirmed.
