The countdown to Christmas is on so it’s time to start planning your holiday festivities. This year, the Northern Beaches is hosting a jolly series of Christmas events, including concerts, markets, carols and more.


Christmas Choral Concert – Thursday 2 December, 6:30 – 8:30pm

Start the Christmas events season with a bang by coming to the Northern Beaches Council’s Christmas Choral Concert. This free-entry community event features local choristers and musicians of all ages who are excited to spread the Christmas cheer. Bring a picnic blanket and feast or choose to order from one of their delicious food vendors. Then sit back and enjoy listening to your favourite carols all night long.

Christmas by the Beach – Friday 10 December, 5 – 7pm

The streets will come alive with merry music and Christmas cheer at the Northern Beaches Council’s Christmas by the Beach. Held at James Meehan Reserve, this annual event is a fun night out for the whole family. Enjoy your favourite traditional carols and a children’s Christmas show, headlined by the stars from PAW Patrol. We suggest supporting a local Dee Why restaurant and ordering takeaway or choosing something delicious from the food vendors on site. Don’t forget your picnic rug!

Pittwater Christmas Markets – Saturday December 11, 10am – 4pm

To help you get into a festive mood, the Cambridge Markets are hosting their first Northern Beaches event. This is set to be a wonderful day of shopping and community, and an ideal opportunity to get your last-minute Xmas shopping done whilst supporting local artisans, creatives, and small businesses. After exploring the stalls, reward yourself with delicious hot food and enjoy listening to the festive, musical entertainment.

Mona Vale Christmas Market – Saturday 18 December, 9am – 5pm

Another exciting market to add to your summer schedule is the Mona Vale Christmas Markets. Now in its 14th year, this great local event that will cater for all those quirky and hard-to-buy-for people on your shopping list. The carefully curated market and food stalls are matched by an impressive line-up of live entertainers and local performers. There’s also lots of rides to keep the kid’s entertained.

Carols by the Lake – Saturday 18 December, 6 – 9pm

One of the best things about Christmas is the music. Warm up your vocal cords and settle in for a night of entertainment at The Link Church’s Carols by the Lake. Held on the shores of Narrabeen Lake, this family-friendly event begins with a pre-show by local artists at 6pm, followed by carols at 7pm and finishing with fireworks at 9pm. Santa will also be making a guest appearance so make sure you’re on your best behaviour.

Christmas Carols, Harbord Diggers – Monday 20 December, 4pm-9pm

Come and get festive at Harbord Diggers with live entertainment on the Ocean Terrace. You can opt for Ocean terrace seating and/or BYO picnic blanket. There’ll be a visit from Santa along with ballooning elves and face painting for the kids, making it a fun family festive affair!

The Beaches Christmas Market – Thursday 23 December, 8am – 1pm

The Beaches Markets is excited to be bringing back their annual Christmas Market. The upcoming market will be transformed into a winter wonderland, stocking one-of-a-kind artisan gifts, Christmas themed products and fresh, summer produce. It’s the perfect place to grab a list minute present for family, friends, or yourself. Anyone hoping to avoid the busy period can also pre-order and pay online for pick-up later in the day.
