Immerse yourself in a true musical experience in a pitch black room where you can’t see the singer! Local musicians will be supported in a unique way with the new Concerts in the Dark at Pittwater RSL, and all events are Covid safe.

Imagine, you are sitting in a dark room with no noise around you. You don’t know who is going to sing and which genre it will be. All you know is, the singer will take you on a journey and all you need to do is listen.

This is the idea behind Concerts in the Dark – a new event launching on October 16 right here on the Northern Beaches. In an event space at Pittwater RSL, a local singer songwriter (all artists are perfoming their own material, not covers) will perform in the dark. The genre of the music will not be revealed prior, and the artist themself will not be introduced until the end of the concert.

The mystery and suspense is designed to take listeners back to their deepest consciousness and allow the true beauty of the art to present itself. By taking away the bells and whistles of sets, costumes and special effects, music will be experienced in its purest form. As the organisers say:

This concert is not a common concert. It’s not about the coolest look of the artist, the craziest festival outfits or the best dance moves. Without all the outside impact you start to feel the music again, and observe how your body and mind replies to it

This will be the first of many scheduled Concert in the Dark events on the Northern Beaches.
