Swing Factory, Terrey Hills
In excellent news for golf lovers and parents of small children, The Swing Factory has just opened TWO mini golf courses. Creating yet another Beaches’ spot to put your putt putt skills (and your patience) to the test!
Taking over the old Golf Paradise venue, the Swing Factory is winning over fans quickly. Besides the two levels of 18-hole mini golf, there’s a driving range with Toptracer technology in every bay, and fun multiplayer game modes if you’re after a less competitive session.
The Club House has had an interior design refresh, too, with stylish bar tables, lounges, delicious food and drinks, and barista-made coffee.
Pricing: 18-hole mini golf: Adults from $19, Kids from $13 and Families from $53. Driving range: 60-mins Group Play with unlimited balls from $12 per person.

Shortees, Terrey Hills
Golf fans will probably already know The Swing Factory is just around the corner from Shortees, another popular spot to have a hit.
Like the name suggests, the 18-hole course is a Par 3, meaning you’re in for a whole (pun intended) lot more fun. The emphasis is on having a good time whether you’re a pro or a newbie. Case in point: themed events, like their monthly Chip ‘N’ Sip ladies nights, where women can play a round of golf, receive a complimentary drink, and raffle tickets to win merch and prizes for just $30.
The food here is epic. The Back Nine Diner and Bar has delicious Italian-style pizzas, US-style burgers, pizzas, wings and fries. But what you’re really going here for is the OG Smash Burger or the Smash Burger Deluxe. Think: In ‘N’ Out burger but way, way better. These burgers are so popular, you can now get them delivered on Uber Eats.

Mona Vale Golf Club
With an in-house golf simulator, a kid-friendly course and the clubhouse’s solid upgrade thanks to the Boathouse Group, it makes the list. Launching earlier this year Mona Social has redefined our expectations of golf watering holes.
Their Bar and Bistro overlooks the gorgeous greens and beyond to the cliffs over Warriewood Beach. It’s a Boathouse-meets-Country-Club vibe featuring great snacks, tap beer, sports viewing, and pool tables.
Out on the green, the challenging 18-hole tree-lined golf course stretches from the ocean to bushland. If you’re looking for a casual round with friends and family rather than membership, you can easily book online with their ‘public tee’ times.

The Beaches Putt Putt, Cromer
Housed within the new(ish) Precision Golf building, each hole on the Beaches Putt Putt course is designed to reflect one of our gorgeous local beaches. You can play your way through the fun coastal scenery, from the golden sands of Manly Beach to the cliffs of Palm Beach. Obstacles and challenges are cleverly integrated into the course design. If golf isn’t the kids’ thing, they also have a sports simulator with over 60 games. 
The driving range is state-of-the-art too, as it’s the largest indoor driving range with 32 bays, and the only indoor driving range in Australia using TrackMan 4 Radars on every bay. The technology means you’re able to accurately analyse swing analysis, helping you to track progress. In addition to the driving range bays, there are two short game pitching bays with 50 metres of flight! Those wanting to refine their swing can also book in for private coaching and lessons.

Pittwater Golf, Warriewood
If it’s a round of fun putt putt you’re after, head to Pittwater Golf for their famous pirate-themed Mini Golf. With 36 holes, it’s just as fun for the adults as it is for the kids. If you have a toddler, keep an eye out for their midweek $9 deals (fore!). It’s a popular venue for kids’ birthday parties, too. The private area on the deck of their pirate ship is the ultimate playground for kids of all ages.
If it’s more serious golf you’re into, there is a driving range with 40 wide bays, as well as 3 teaching bays. The driving range is floodlit so you can continue after sunset, and the large grass area allows you to hit the ball as if you were on the course (subject to weather). If you’re interested in improving your golf game, they have a selection of PGA Pro Trainers in their coaching academy ready to help, teaching private lessons and clinics for all ages.
