Balmoral Watersports School Holiday Activities

“Have Fun – Be Safe – Learn New Skills – Make New Friends” these spring school holidays!

Our “Multi-activity” water-sports camp offers different activities throughout the day, including Sailing, Windsurfing, Stand up Paddleboarding, Kayaking and games on/off water, with a major emphasis on having fun, and gaining & improving water-sports skills!

Every day is a different day with changing weather conditions, new games and new challenges. We welcome kids with water-sports skills & abilities as well as total beginners. Our aim is to introduce kids to water sports, gain more confidence on the water, and learn sailing in a fun way. We also really encourage making new friends.

Kids can start from 7 yrs old to 15 years old, they must already be able to swim 25m confidently. We have 3 different age groups: 7 to 9yo; 10 to 12yo; and 13 to 15yo. We will also make sure they are put together with friends on the 1st day if required. Be prepared for a fabulous week of fun and learning. It’s exactly where your kids want to be, rain or shine!

Good to know: Children are to bring their own packed lunch. The program will continue in wet weather conditions. Please ensure you or your child are aware of the weather forecast for the day and have packed accordingly.

Coastal Environment Centre ”Kids on the Coast”, Narrabeen

This would have to be one of the best resources in the area when it comes to helping kids be aware of how lucky they are to live by the coast! The Coastal Environment Centre (CEC) also offers a school holiday program with a difference. “With a unique theme for each day, your child will learn about our natural environment through a range of fun and interesting activities. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about our environment and how they can help preserve it. The holiday program is suitable for children six to 12 years. (unless otherwise noted).

Indoor Climbing, Umbrella Nine Co Brookvale

Manly Surf Guide Surfing Lessons, Dee Why

What could be better for little locals? Manly Surf Guide has made teaching surfing their business and in the school holidays they run surf camps that operate from Dee Why Beach from 10am-2pm. On the camp kids will learn:

  • Ocean safety & surf etiquette
  • Ocean & wave positioning
  • Paddling & catching waves
  • Control, standing up & riding waves

Treetops Adventure + Playground, St Ives

Families have a new experience to explore along the southern border of Ku-ring-gai National Park. St Ives is our newest Tree Ropes Course Park, hosting 95+ aerial obstacles and 10+ ziplines, all suspended between platforms to create a maze of activities in the treetops. Courses start at 1m for little climbers and jump up to 15 metres for bigger adventurers!

Sessions run for 2.5-hours to climb as many courses as you can during your session. You can choose to start on low easy courses or go straight up on a higher course. If you don’t feel like climbing up on a higher level, you are always welcome to complete a lower or same course again during your session. Your session includes harnessing, training and approx 2-hours of climbing.

When you’re done there’s a spectacular new playground to explore as well! Perfect for spring school holidays!

Intensive Learn to Swim Summer School Holiday Program, Warringah Aquatic Centre

Fast track your child’s swimming ability with our intensive learn to swim program. The daily reinforcement of these skills can significantly accelerate their progress.  Held each school holidays, lessons run for 30 minutes each day from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Classes are 30 minutes.  December/January school holiday program will be 19-22 December, 3-6 January, 9-13 January, 16-20 January and 23-27 (not 26) January. Bookings open 28 November.

Alice in Wonderland

For one day only, the streets of Sydney will turn into a giant, escape room. The Inflatable, Wave Pool and Giant Slide at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre
