Our holiday Swimvac program is designed to boost confidence and consolidate skills through the intensive, daily repetition of lessons. It can provide significant results, especially for new swimmers or those needing to master specific skills. Held in our warm indoor pools – it’s a great daily dose of fun and fitness!

Big Music Holiday Rock Camp, Crows Nest

It’s a bit further afield but sounds so great! If your child has ever dreamed of being in a rock band, or just really likes music – Big Music at Crows Nest is the place to be these school holidays. Big Music has been running their Holiday Rock Camp program with great success, and all the staff are qualified musicians who are passionate about encouraging a love of music in their students. There’s no experience necessary with a course to suit all levels. The emphasis of the camp programs is on fun and participation in playing and performing popular music with other kids.

Good to Know: These popular Holiday Camps cater for all kids aged 5+ regardless of their prior musical experience. Each day runs from 9am to 3pm, culminating in a performance for family and friends on the last day. Places are limited and often sell out, so ROCK ENROL NOW!

Resilience Camp, Collaroy Plateau

We’re now taking bookings for our popular 1-day Resilience Camps – book now to avoid disappointment! Our camps are for everyday K-6 children experiencing everyday challenges. They are fun and play-based and include drama, art, craft, storytelling and LOTS of games. Kids LOVE them!

We explore a whole range of topics, including confidence, friendship, emotions, the inner voice, the growth mindset, positive psychology and LOTS more, all in a safe and supportive environment. They run from 9am-4pm at Collaroy Plateau, Roseville, Neutral Bay and the Inner West. Not sure whether your child should participate again? They absolutely should! No two camps are the same. Resilience is a skill like any other, it needs practice.

Coastal Environment Centre, Narrabeen

This would have to be one of the best resources in the area when it comes to helping kids be aware of how lucky they are to live by the coast! The Coastal Environment Centre (CEC) also offers a school holiday program with a difference. “With a unique theme for each day, your child will learn about our natural environment through a range of fun and interesting activities. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about our environment and how they can help preserve it. The holiday program is suitable for children six to 12 years. (unless otherwise noted).

Good to Know: You can choose from Junior Rangers, Junior Fun Day, Fishing Workshop, The Wild Ones, Build It Fly It Float It, Junior Marine Biology, Long Reef Adventures, Under the Sea, and Coastal Kids.

Play World 2019, ICC Darling Harbour

Presented by Nintendo, this two-day event creates the most unique atmosphere for kids and allows them to play in a dynamic, fun and educational environment that is bound to get everyone excited! Manly Surf Guide Surfing Lessons, Dee Why

What could be better for little locals? Manly Surf Guide has made teaching surfing their business and in the school holidays they run surf camps that operate from Dee Why Beach from 10am-2pm. On the camp kids will learn:

  • Ocean safety & surf etiquette
  • Ocean & wave positioning
  • Paddling & catching waves
  • Control, standing up & riding waves

Good to Know: Surf school is for beginners to intermediate levels, for kids aged 6 to 15 years old. What’s included: 2 x surf Lessons, use of surfboard and wetsuit, lunch and beach games, surf education

Swoop Physical Theatre, Collaroy

Swoop Physical Theatre has been highly recommended in the NBL Facebook Group and it sounds like everything kids could wish for. School holiday activities include: hula hooping, juggling, static trapeze, silks, acrobalancing, stilt walking, tight-wire walking, acrobatic jumps and dynamic tumbling. “A guest tutor will be teaching aerials from 12-3pm each day. We also play lots of games and work with each participant at their own level.”

Good to Know: These workshops are for ages 6 and up. Existing Swoop students are also welcome. Circus works best with a wide range of ages! We have children aged 6-15 regularly attending.
– Please pack morning tea, lunch and an extra snack (circus is hungry work!) as well as a big bottle of water.
– Shorts, leggings, t-shirts/singlets are recommended. Please do not wear jeans or skirts.
– Kids will be given 20 minutes for morning tea and 45 minutes for lunch. The hall has kitchen facilities available (fridge etc) if needed.

Harry Potter Potions Workshop, Brookvale

Fans of Harry Potter – or even just mixing stuff together – will enjoy this workshop held at Warringah Mall Library. The ingredients aren’t familiar, but they sound suitably gooey! “Discover the ancient art of potion making, using authentic magical ingredients such as bubotuber pus, crushed gurdeyroot powder and tentaculargel.”

Good to Know: Suitable for ages 8 – 12. Bookings are essential and open Monday Sept 9.
