The Pittwater Artists Trail Group Exhibition opens at the Newport Community Centre on Friday 27th March, showcasing the works of 20 local Northern Beaches Artists.
Back for its 16th year, the Pittwater Artists Trail Group Exhibition is a showcase and auction of artworks by local Northern Beaches artists, all to raise money for charity.
This year, 25% of the event’s revenue will be donated to the Women’s Resilience Centre charity at Mona Vale. This local charity provides support services for women affected by domestic abuse, including trauma recovery, financial advice, and long-term resilience strategies.
The works are sold via a Silent Auction, and this year’s lineup features a wide variety of different styles. These include:
- Fine art mosaics
- Mixed media pieces
- Paintings – semi-abstract, seascapes, landscapes, abstract, water colour
- World Renown Photography
- Ceramics
- Fibre and metal art
- Wood sculptures
The event is not just an excellent way to support a good cause (and take home your own masterpiece). It’s also a wonderful way to check out the local talent of the Northern Beaches art community, with 20 of its top artists gathered under one roof. With the artists present at the exhibition, visitors are invited to talk to and question the artists to learn more about their work.
Visitors can then visit their favourite artists during their subsequent exhibitions in July and November. Thus, the Trail aims to not just showcase art, but to create a dialogue with the community and support both the artists themselves and local charitable causes.
The Pittwater Artists Trail also attracts visitors from outside of the Northern Beaches, bringing exposure and revenue to local artists and businesses alike.
